This role provides Controller-level expertise across areas such as financial reporting, general ledger oversight, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and audit preparation. Depending on the engagement, the Manager may lead the work directly or serve as a key member of a broader project team. The Manager is responsible for moving engagements forward from planning through completion, coordinating client and internal teams, managing competing priorities, and delivering accurate, high-quality work on time and within budget. The role calls for sound technical accounting judgment, practical problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to take ownership in fast-moving situations where priorities and information may change.
Requirements:

Provide Controller-level support across financial reporting, general ledger oversight, close processes, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and audit preparation. Assess complex accounting and financial issues, develop practical solutions, and drive issues through resolution. Build and manage project plans, set expectations and deadlines, assign responsibilities, and follow up to keep work on track. Coordinate client personnel and internal consulting teams to gather information, resolve issues, and complete deliverables. Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities while maintaining responsiveness and meeting commitments. Delegate work to Consultants and Senior Consultants and remain accountable for the quality and timeliness of engagement deliverables. Review financial information and team work product, identify issues, and communicate findings and actionable recommendations. Anticipate roadblocks, escalate issues when appropriate, and take ownership of moving engagements to completion. Build productive client relationships and communicate directly about expectations, deadlines, responsibilities, and outstanding needs. Identify opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and finance operations. Prepare clear, polished, client-ready reports, analyses, and presentations. Support the development of team members and contribute to the continued growth of VMG Health's financial advisory services. Required Qualifications Progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated responsibilities at the Controller level. Strong technical accounting knowledge and the judgment to address complex or unfamiliar accounting issues. Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and audit preparation. Demonstrated project management skills, including organizing complex work, managing dependencies, and keeping multiple stakeholders accountable to deadlines. Experience managing client relationships, establishing expectations, and communicating effectively with client leadership. Ability to lead internal project teams and coordinate client teams toward shared deliverables and outcomes. Ability to manage multiple engagements, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines while maintaining quality and follow-through. Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
