Position Responsibilities:
Prepare the annual Forms 10-K and quarterly Forms 10-Q, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A. Work with various personnel and departments to collect information and input into the above referenced reports. Coordinate collection and review comments on the various drafts. Review support files. Complete all disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires. Maintain annual and quarterly reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones. Responsible for managing all lease, asset retirement obligations, stock compensation, and EPS reporting, including reviewing account reconciliations. Monitor the applicability of new and changing accounting and reporting rules issued by the SEC, FASB, PCAOB, or other regulators. Perform technical accounting research and document complex accounting matters. Assist with establishment, documentation, and maintenance of company accounting policies. Comply with all internal controls for assigned areas.
Qualifications:
3+ years of SEC reporting experience. Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA required. 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience. Combination of private industry and public accounting experience. Advanced technical accounting knowledge coupled with exceptional planning and organizational skills. Experience in consumer retail industry strongly preferred.
