Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled Audit & Financial Reporting Manager to oversee financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance activities. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while serving as the primary point of contact for external audits and regulatory reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, managing audit processes, and improving financial systems and reporting practices. Key ResponsibilitiesAudit Management & Compliance Lead preparation of annual audited consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable governmental accounting standards Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage all phases of audit engagements from planning through completion Prepare audit schedules, workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation Coordinate additional audits as required, including compliance and single audits Ensure adherence to federal, state, and regulatory financial reporting requirements Financial Reporting Prepare required external financial reports for regulatory and third-party stakeholders Develop recurring monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc internal financial reporting packages Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide insights to support decision-making Month-End / Year-End Close Support Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data Operational Accounting & Controls Manage capital asset tracking, reconciliation, and periodic audits Oversee cash entry, transfers, and related inquiries Support financial data integrity through ongoing review and analysis Leadership & Collaboration Partner with finance leadership to align budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes Collaborate across departments to ensure clarity and accuracy of financial information Support development and enhancement of financial policies and procedures Drive process improvements, including automation and ERP system enhancements Participate in special projects as needed QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 3-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience coordinating or supporting external audits Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems Preferred Experience with eEllucian Banner & Oasis Software Experience working in complex or multi-entity environments Strong process improvement mindset
Pay:
Up to $65,000.00 per year
