GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
LAFCU's Specialty Deposit Representative works with the Business and Specialty Deposit Officer to provide specialty deposit products and services. This position is a subject matter expert (SME) for specialty deposit products and services. Additionally, the position works cross-functionally as an internal source of professional, technical, and general support to improve LAFCU's specialty deposit suite of products. This role is a full-time non-exempt position in Branch Operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to all members. Maintain positive work environment by fostering cooperation and collaboration and taking ownership of own action and behavior. Adhere to security requirements in maintaining confidentiality and verifying member's identity. Process account transactions related to specialty products and services such as Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Decedent, Revocable Trust, Traditional and Roth IRA, Education Savings (ESA) and Health Savings (HAS) accounts. Meet directly or indirectly through different methods of communication to grow relationships. Establish new membership and open all other secondary accounts and business accounts, as needed. Process consumer loan requests and fund loans, as needed. Works with internal/external partners to add new and enhance existing specialty deposit products and services, including developing new resources and training. Stay abreast of industry trends and competitors through researching ways to improve efficiency and services to members. Qualification & Opportunities High school diploma or equivalent; strong knowledge of specialty deposit products and services. 2 years of experience in the financial industry; 1 year focused on specialty accounts. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgment with strong ethic, self-starter and adapt to change. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary The minimum and maximum base salary range for this position is $24.44 to $35.26 in California. The target starting base hourly rate is between $24.44 to $27.14. This compensation and benefits information is based on Los Angeles Federal Credit Union's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The starting base salary within the range will depend on a variety of factors that may include relevant prior experience and/or education, or skills and expertise.
