Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Member Service Representative to join our Buena Vista team! In this vital role, you will serve as a liaison between the members and the credit union. Provide account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services. Open accounts for members, interview, and professionally handle the member's daily needs. Provide a variety of transaction services to members including opening accounts for savings or loan accounts. May function as a teller. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a collaborative, community-focused setting. Essential Duties Present and explain Credit Union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs. Actively cross-sell products and services to members to achiever or exceed all established individual and branch sales goals. Open and maintain member accounts but not limited to: savings or checking accounts, check orders, telephone teller, pay, e-teller, ATM's, VISA credit/debit cards, direct deposit, automatic debits and credits, e-statements, account reconciliation, and other relevant account information. Provide loan services including, loan interview, processing, closing, and disbursal. Process teller transactions Complete non-monetary file maintenance, such as address changes, stop payment, and other applicable information as needed or requested by members Gather documentation for processing death claims and coordinate with family members for funds distribution on deceased member accounts Respond in a professional manner to members' inquiries, requests, problems, or complaints; guides members to the appropriate staff for specific information and assistance Adhere to PCU's Monetary Standards and Standards of PerformanceSkills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Cash handling in a banking or retail environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual capabilities (preferred) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Join us at Power Credit Union where your enthusiasm for helping others can truly make a difference!
