Founded by employees of the Georgia Electrical Membership Cooperatives, the credit union was created to help members achieve their financial goals and support their families and communities. Over the years, its services, membership, and reputation have grown through close, collaborative relationships with members. The organization continues to focus on helping hard-working neighbors turn financial goals into secure futures. Since July 5, 2019, it has operated as Go Energy Financial Credit Union, maintaining a strong commitment to its members. Role Description The Junior Lending Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucker, GA. This role supports members with consumer lending needs, including guiding applicants through loan options, collecting required documentation, and assisting with loan applications and processing. The Junior Lending Consultant reviews member information for accuracy, explains loan terms and conditions, and helps ensure compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to member inquiries, providing high-quality customer service in person and by phone, and collaborating with team members to meet lending and service goals. The role also involves identifying opportunities to offer appropriate products and services that support members' financial well-being. Qualifications Candidates should possess knowledge of loans and basic consumer lending processes. Candidates should possess foundational skills in finance and financial services. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills and a member-focused mindset. Candidates should possess sales skills to identify member needs and recommend suitable products. Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, proficiency with office and banking software, and the ability to learn regulatory and compliance requirements. Prior experience in a credit union, bank, or financial services environment is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and further education in business or finance is a plus.
