Job Description

Start date: 10/5/26
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
  • Undergraduate studies in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of overall work experience
  • Knowledge of general office practices, customer service, and office equipment
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, familiarity with office filing systems, record-keeping procedures, and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to prioritize own work within established standards
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management
  • Sound decision-making skills necessary for customer contacts
  • Ability to identify and evaluate problems, analyze customer inquiries, and determine appropriate action
  • Proven ability to operate a CRT and PC
  • Ability to pass a valid credit check and/or background check due to fiduciary accountabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of product-related customer service work experience
  • Work experience paired with undergraduate studies
  • Knowledge of information systems and insurance/financial services industry practices (e.
g., annuities, mutual funds)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and efficient service to internal and external customers, policyholders, agents, brokers, and other stakeholders
  • Receive, research, and respond to customer, broker, agent, and government agency inquiries through oral and written communication
  • Consult and interpret contract provisions for current, past, and assumed business products
  • Assist customers with financial transactions and process monetary transactions within assigned limits
  • Maintain current knowledge of product and contract provisions, processing systems, and applicable federal and state regulations
  • Review and interpret records and reports to make accurate decisions and resolve routine errors
  • Identify situations requiring advanced technical knowledge or exception processing and escalate them to appropriate lead team members
  • Prioritize work effectively while maintaining established service and quality standards
  • Apply problem-solving and decision-making skills to determine appropriate actions for customer inquiries
  • Operate PC/CRT systems and standard office equipment while maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
