MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Job Location:
Peoples Credit Union 310 First Street, Webster City, IA 50595 Reports to:
Branch Manager Role:
Responsible for handling customer transactions and helping with account related inquiries. This includes processing account deposits and withdrawals for a variety of account holders, creating accounts, managing safety deposit boxes, and helping members order replacement checks and debit cards. Must be willing to travel between branches.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine banking tasks: including making deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cash advances, receiving loan payments, and cashing checks Open and close a variety of types of accounts and process address changes Maintain and balance the cash drawer on a daily basis by accounting for cash assigned, received and disbursed Comply and stay up-to-date with applicable laws and regulations Promote strong customer and client interactions, build relationships and participate in cross-selling Effectively explain new products and features to members Demonstrate good risk management decisions, including solid knowledge of guidelines for fraud prevention and robbery Actively contribute to meet the branch business goals Accurately close out the teller terminal and remit daily work to supervisor
Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Familiarity with computers and/or banking applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High standard of confidentiality Strong customer satisfaction orientation Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Previous credit union knowledge (preferred) Bilingual (preferred)
