Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of consumer, residential, and commercial loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures; develops deposit relationships with customers; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- To gather personal information from customers to ensure the credit worthiness of the customer and make sure that an informed decision is arrived at in regards to the borrower.
- To contact borrowers who have delinquent accounts for obtaining full payment or negotiate repayment options.
- To council clients with family and personal financial problems, such as excessive borrowing and spending.
- To analyze the applicants' financial status, property evaluations and credit to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
- Assist customers in opening personal and business DDA accounts, savings accounts, and certificates of deposit when needed to backup new account desk.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure all banking regulations are followed.
- Promote Citizens Guaranty Bank within the community by participating in community organizations and special events.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to think and act independently
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- High degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of bank regulations
- Proficient computer skills
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
:- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years lending experience preferred
