POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Relationship & Service Coordinator serves as the dedicated retail banking partner to the Commercial Lending team, providing exceptional service and seamless support to commercial clients and business partners. This role combines customer relationship management, operational support, sales coordination, onboarding, and cross-functional problem resolution to deliver seamless client experience throughout the business customer lifecycle. The individual acts as a central point of contact for business clients, assisting with deposit accounts, commercial loans, cash management services, treasury products, payment solutions, and ongoing account maintenance. The role works closely with Commercial Loan Officers, Cash Management Officers, Retail teams, and other bank departments to identify customer needs, coordinate solutions, deepen relationships, and ensure legendary customer experience. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Serve as a primary service contact for business customers, building and maintaining strong client relationships while acting as a liaison between customers and internal bank departments. Maintain regular communication with commercial and small business clients regarding account, loan, treasury management, and other banking needs. Resolve customer service issues proactively and professionally, identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships and enhance client retention. Open and maintain business deposit accounts, process account changes and service requests, and assist customers with deposits, payments, transfers, and other account servicing needs. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and solutions that support their financial goals. Support relationship managers and lenders in business development efforts by generating referrals and promoting commercial, treasury, deposit, and other bank products and services. Participate in client meetings, onboarding sessions, and presentations, and assist in preparing sales proposals, relationship reviews, and related materials. Ensure account documentation, customer files, records, and correspondence are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable requirements. Support branch operations and assist with audits, annual reviews, due diligence processes, compliance monitoring, and reporting activities. Ensure adherence to all bank policies, procedures, BSA requirements, customer identification standards, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer and bank information.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of business banking products and services. Knowledge of commercial loans, deposit accounts, and cash management solutions. Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project coordination abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and bank operating systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of banking experience with exposure to business banking, commercial lending, treasury management, customer service, or relationship support. Experience working directly with business customers preferred.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Basic math and computer proficiency. Ability to operate standard banking and office equipment. Must be able to meet referral performance expectations and goals. Regular in-person attendance at assigned branch location required. Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise. Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are required for this position.
