Financial Services Representative

The Business Office at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Financial Services Representative position. A Financial Services Representative here at Jackson State, is known as a financial advisor, assists students with a wide range of financial services, planning, and managing accounts. Evaluate Students Accounts. Counsel Students Concerning Account Issues. Accurately Collect, Count and Receipt Currency on Behalf of JSU. Participate and Assist in All Registration Activities. Post and Monitor 3rd Party Scholarship and Sponsored Tuition Payments. Answer Customer Questions and Assist with Various Inquiries. Distribute Student Work-Study and Work-Aid Checks. Prepare Daily Cashier Reports and Balance Cash Draws at End of Day. Scan Daily Cashier Reports. Apply Current Laws, Policies and Procedures Relating to Students, Billing and Other Duties. Receive and Answer Incoming Calls to Cashiers Area. Other Duties as Assigned. High School Diploma, Associate Degree Preferred 2 Years' experience in Administrative Support Work Strong Customer Support, Strong Computer and Organizational Skills Proficient With Microsoft Office Suites Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills Working Knowledge of 10-Key Calculator Detailed-Oriented Multi Tasker Must Be Articulate, Have A Pleasant Personality and Able to Work Well with Diverse Groups
