Financial representatives and interns work as independent contractors, partnering with Northwestern Mutual to deliver high-quality financial guidance. Role Description The College Financial Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Findlay, OH. In this role, the representative works directly with clients to understand their current financial situations, clarify goals, and develop personalized financial plans. Daily activities include meeting with prospects and clients, explaining insurance and investment solutions, and recommending strategies for retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and risk management. The representative is responsible for building and maintaining a client portfolio, conducting ongoing reviews, and coordinating with experienced advisors and specialists when needed. Additional responsibilities include prospecting, networking within the community, following compliance guidelines, and continuously developing financial knowledge and professional skills. Qualifications Strong foundation in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to help clients set and pursue long-term goals. Knowledge of Insurance solutions, including life and disability products, to support risk management strategies. Understanding of Finance and Investments to explain and implement appropriate wealth-building strategies. Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for client-facing interactions. Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and build a client network. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (or working toward completion) preferred. Ability to work on-site in Findlay, OH, and willingness to obtain applicable state licenses and registrations.
