About the Role As a Financial Advocate, you play a vital role in fulfilling our mission to build better lives and stronger communities. You will deliver exceptional, ethical service by anticipating and addressing members' financial needs through our comprehensive suite of financial products and services. As a trusted financial consultant, you'll guide members on their financial journeys by providing convenient, accessible, and affordable solutions while building long-term relationships based on trust. Success in this role requires the ability to identify member needs, deepen relationships, increase product adoption, and safeguard members' financial well-being—all while providing an exceptional member experience. What You'll Do Member Financial Advocacy & Education (40%)
- Serve as members' trusted financial advocate by understanding their financial goals and recommending solutions that help them save money, build wealth, and improve financial wellness.
- Build lasting relationships through every interaction by providing financial education and personalized service.
- Educate members on self-service tools and digital banking technology.
- Expand your knowledge in:
- Credit building
- Mortgage lending
- Debt consolidation
- Savings strategies
- Retirement planning
- Business banking
- Budgeting
- Digital banking solutions Sales & Service Excellence (40%)
- Build rapport with members through meaningful conversations and consultative selling.
- Ask thoughtful questions to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Meet individual and branch goals related to:
- Membership growth
- Deposit growth
- Consumer lending
- Deliver outstanding member experiences that improve satisfaction and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Promote products that support members' financial success, including debt protection and additional financial solutions. Operations & Compliance (10%)
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete timely follow-up.
- Perform daily branch operations, including:
- Teller transactions
- Lobby management
- Opening and closing procedures
- Problem resolution
- Complete all required training and professional development.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Protect confidential member information at all times. Member Engagement & Problem Resolution (10%)
- Participate in community outreach, financial education, and outbound member engagement.
- Research and resolve member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with additional duties as needed. Qualifications We're looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of credit union financial products and services, including loans, deposit accounts, and savings products.
- Understanding of the differences between banks and credit unions.
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems and technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain financial concepts to individuals with varying levels of financial knowledge.
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Strong consultative sales and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Active listening and conflict resolution skills.

- Flexibility to work schedules that meet branch and member needs.
- Must be bondable. Education & Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service or sales experience.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills.
- Proven history of delivering excellent customer service and achieving goals.
- Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office, and related software.
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to consumer lending and deposit accounts. Preferred
- Previous experience in financial services or a related field. Spanish Language Skills Spanish fluency is not required. Candidates who are fluent in Spanish may be eligible for a language proficiency pay differential. Physical Requirements
- Ability to work branch hours, including Saturdays.
- Full-time schedule with additional hours as needed.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
