Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Payment Representative to handle inbound calls from individuals and commercial groups for payment processing of insurance products. The primary goal is to ensure seamless payment processes and offer exceptional customer service without engaging in debt collection. Key Responsibilities Process incoming payments for insurance products. Manage call center operations by responding to payment inquiries and recording transactions accurately. Assist members by determining payment amounts and deadlines using internal systems. Operate multiple computer programs to manage data and process transactions accurately. Maintain high service standards while managing a high volume of calls, especially during peak periods. Provide consistent phone coverage during operating hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Maintain technical accuracy and quality scores during calls. Qualifications A minimum of a High School Diploma. At least 1 year of experience in taking payments in retail, call center, or finance roles. Preferred experience in collections. Experience 1 year minimum experience in taking payments in retail or call center roles. Previous experience in a call center environment is highly preferred. Skills Strong customer service and communication skills. Technical expertise to manage back-to-back calls accurately. Additional Requirements Flexibility with working hours due to enrollment season, and availability for extended hours or weekends if needed. Initial training may require in-office presence, with a hybrid schedule thereafter. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
