Job Description

On-Site Representative/Central Print Team Representative The primary purpose of this position is to support the organizational goals/management and colleagues of the VBO by efficiently and effectively managing the responsibilities as an On-Site Representative supporting engagement responsibilities of the VBO. All tasks related to this position are to be done in a manner consistent with VBO policies, procedures, quality standards, customer needs and applicable local, state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Utilizes and applies Microsoft software and general computer skills with combining, editing, and reviewing documents containing PHI (patient health information).
  • Possesses general knowledge of printing functions and assures documents are printed accurately and presented professionally.
  • Uses trained knowledge on comprehending, reviewing, and correcting documents prior to being sent to correspondences.
  • Possesses a general knowledge of common revenue cycle documents such as: UB04 and 1500 claim forms, reconsideration and appeal documents, EOBs/Remits, etc.
  • Reviews detailed patient accounting information by utilizing VBO work-driver (ResQ) on a daily basis and documents all activity appropriately.
  • Accurately utilizes external client systems to access patient account information daily and document all activity appropriately.
  • Accesses and interprets EOB/Remit information within client imaging systems for account documentation/correspondence/follow-up.
  • Adheres to the HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
  • Possesses ability to professionally communicate (in all forms) with payer resources such as: website, e-mail, telephone, customer service departments, etc.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds all established department/client quality and productivity standards.
  • Attends office meetings and scheduled events as required.
  • Possesses a cooperative and positive attitude toward clients, management and co-workers by responding politely and professionally and being a valued team player.
  • Assists in mentoring new hires including shadowing and answering general collection questions.
  • Possesses the flexibility to transfer between teams with ease when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Required :
High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in all Microsoft software and Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer and internet literacy required.
  • Comfortable using phone, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in an office environment on a daily basis.
Preferred:
Knowledge of medical billing and revenue cycle fundamentals preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestion, and feedback
Working Conditions:
  • Will work in high volume work environment that may require overtime as necessary.
  • May sit for long periods of time.
  • Primarily works inside throughout the year, but some travel to client locations may be required.
  • Typing and reading on a computer.
  • Communicating in person, through e-mail, telephone and written correspondence.
  • Standing, stooping, pushing, reaching and pulling may be required.
