SUMMARY:
The management of borrowing and depository relationships with business banking clients. In addition, the solicitation of new business banking clients through direct sales calls. The development of community and business relationships is necessary to facilitate sales referrals to our sales partners (wealth management, insurance, treasury management, retail, mortgage partners) and to maintain knowledge of local business conditions. This business banking officer must also support the Bank's CRA lending initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and grows a portfolio of commercial business clients by providing tailored banking and financial solutions. Develops strong relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision makers to understand financial needs and objectives. Originates, structures, and manages commercial credit relationships, including loans, lines of credit, and treasury management services. Analyzes financial statements, cash flow, credit risk, and collateral to support sound credit decisions. Prepares and presents credit proposals in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Monitors existing credit relationships to ensure ongoing credit quality, covenant compliance, and risk mitigation. Partners with internal teams (credit, treasury, underwriting, and operations) to deliver seamless client service. Identifies cross selling opportunities for deposit products, cash management, merchant services, and other bank offerings. Maintains sup to date knowledge of market trends, competitive products, and regulatory changes impacting commercial clients. Ensures all client activities meet regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards. Resolves client issues and provide timely, professional follow Participates in business development activities, networking events, and community outreach to generate new commercial relationships. Maintains accurate documentation and records in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements. Meets or exceeds individual production, growth, and portfolio management goals.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Must possess a high degree of leadership skills. Possess ability and commitment to develop business relationships with business borrowers. Ability to work under pressure. Formal credit training with knowledge to interpret financial reports and analysis. Small business and lower market lending experience. Proven business development skills to prospect new bank relationships. Self-driven and motivated to accomplish desired Bank goals. Ability to deal effectively with customers to solve problems, collect data, establish facts and make appropriate recommendations to providing customer/Bank solutions. Must possess appropriate computer and technology skills. Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as overall strong presentation skills. Must be willing to work as part of a team. Travel required for training, meetings and to meet with clients and prospects. Must be willing to become familiar with and promote bank products and services. Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Minimum of five years in banking required Minimum of three years of experience in sales while successfully meeting goals, required.
