AML/KYC Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an AML/KYC Analyst to join a financial crimes compliance team in California. This long-term contract position is suited for a detail-focused individual who can assess transactional alerts, evaluate potential risk, and document findings with precision. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to anti-money laundering and know-your-customer efforts by supporting investigations and helping maintain compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial reviews of alerts to identify unusual activity and assess whether additional investigation is warranted.
  • Evaluate transaction patterns and customer information to determine when matters should be referred for deeper examination.
  • Support the identification of cases that may lead to suspicious activity reporting by summarizing relevant risk indicators.
  • Research account activity and related data sources to build well-supported investigative findings.
  • Prepare clear, organized documentation that explains review outcomes, supporting evidence, and recommended next steps.
  • Apply AML, KYC, and Bank Secrecy Act standards while performing daily compliance-related analysis.
  • Use spreadsheets and other data analysis methods to interpret information efficiently and accurately.
Review key factors to help you decide if the role fits your goals.
