Job Description
We are looking for an AML/KYC & Risk Compliance Specialist to join a team on a Long-term Contract basis. This position focuses on protecting the organization from financial crime exposure by evaluating customer risk, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, and helping maintain strong internal controls. The role is well suited to someone who can analyze transactions, investigate unusual activity, and collaborate across business functions to strengthen risk management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform customer due diligence and periodic profile reviews to confirm accurate risk classification and adherence to compliance standards.
- Examine transactional activity to identify unusual patterns, potential money laundering concerns, sanctions exposure, or other financial crime risks.
- Investigate escalated alerts and suspicious matters, document findings clearly, and support appropriate follow-up actions.
- Assess client and account risk factors using available data, business context, and regulatory guidance to recommend effective mitigation steps.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to promote compliance with AML, KYC, and broader risk management policies across business operations.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records that support reviews, testing activities, and regulatory examinations.
- Contribute to compliance monitoring efforts by tracking issues, identifying control gaps, and helping improve oversight processes.
- Provide analytical support through data review, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting related to risk and compliance activities.
