Responsibilities Assist with processing medical claims using billing software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Review patient records to ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures using
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding. Verify insurance coverage and submit healthcare claims to health insurance providers Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection efforts and appeals Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Support the billing team by updating patient information in EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries related to billing statements and insurance processes Qualifications Basic understanding of medical terminology, medical records, and healthcare claims management Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), CPT coding. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and billing software platforms Knowledge of health insurance policies, medical billing procedures, and medical collections Prior experience in a medical office setting or with EMR/EHR systems.
