This is an Hourly position. Overview This job is located in Peoria,IL M-F, rotating on call and weekends
POSITION SUMMARY
The HME Centralized Intake Representative will be a resource for primary care, specialist and midlevel providers to assist in the selection of the most appropriate level of home and respiratory medical equipment for referred patients based on the medical documentation. Responsible for educating and providing guidance on deficient documentation to ensure there are no delays and disruption to patient care. The HME Centralized Intake Representative is responsible for meeting timeframes for patient discharge and communicating with referral sources when OSF HME is unable to meet delivery expectations. Works with HME leadership to ensure services run efficiently. Interacts with every position in the HME operational infrastructure. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent. 1 year customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
​Able to educate and operate home medical equipment. 1 year home medical equipment experience. Knowledge of reimbursement and regulatory requirements for HME. Prior experience working with health care government and accrediting agency body guidelines. Knowledge of ICD.9 and related HCPC codes. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
