Full-Time, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Claims Coordinator to join our team in Mason, Ohio. The Claims Coordinator will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing various types of insurance claims while ensuring compliance with plan requirements, quality standards, and claims production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced claims or insurance environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently process a variety of vision insurance claims and claim adjustments. Review claims for completeness and compliance with business and insurance plan requirements prior to entry. Determine applicable special plan requirements before billing. Review images and transcribed data in the claims portal to prepare claims for auto-adjudication. Coordinate and complete claim error corrections. Maintain and manage the Medicare/Medicaid pending claims process. Process corrected claims and perform other complex claims-processing activities as required. Run and review daily claims-related reports. Participate in special projects and rework initiatives as assigned. Quickly understand and implement processing changes resulting from new plans and benefit designs. Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and applicable regulations. Collaborate effectively with supervisors, team members, Account Managers, Operations, Information Systems, Client Representatives, and leadership. Provide strong customer service and professional communication to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a backup to the Team Lead when required. Assist with root-cause analysis of claims issues and help develop thorough resolutions for clients. Contact stores, providers, or other relevant parties when additional information or claims follow-up is required. Perform other duties related to claims processing and departmental operations as assigned. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of data entry experience . Strong customer service orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge or experience with Medicare/Medicaid claims processing. Knowledge of vision benefits and/or the insurance industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access . Previous experience in claims processing, healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can process claims accurately while meeting productivity and quality expectations. The candidate should be comfortable working with confidential information, following established procedures, communicating with multiple stakeholders, and adapting quickly to changes in plans, benefits, and claims-processing requirements.
