15 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary The Referral Representative expedites the administrative requirements for patient referrals, dealing directly with health plans, and ensures proper insurance payment for services. The position also performs incidental tasks related to charge entry and statistical tracking. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize actions; and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities. Job Requirements Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a worker's compensation setting involving insurance authorization, referral processes, and coding. Experience with computers such as PC and MS Windows. Experience in office technology Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position Associate's Degree
