Job Description
Role To assist the Member Solutions Department by handling all insurance claims and maintaining the Collateral Protection Insurance program. Regularly communicate with insurance companies and members regarding claims status. Process bankruptcy/legal placements and work with credit union attorneys regularly. Complete other clerical duties as assigned. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assists the Member Solutions Department by filing, monitoring, evaluating, and assisting members with all claims including but not limited to: debt protection, GAP, and total loss claims. Proactively protect credit union collateral by tracking insurance coverage and working with members and their insurance companies to obtain acceptable insurance. Maintain the creditor placed insurance program, including force placing insurance, when needed. Perform accurate and thorough account maintenance and documentation. Documenting and referring bankruptcy and legal placements to credit union attorneys. Processing garnishments and levies as they are served. Complete other clerical duties such as filing titles, applying for refunds on repossessed vehicles, and imaging documents to accounts as needed.
