Responsibilities Job Summary Provide claims administrative support to the claims department. A range of specific tasks may be requested from the Claims Support Manager or directly from the claims adjuster staff. Timeliness and accuracy of completion is important to be successful in this role. Responsibilities
- Complete new claim setup in the claims administration system (Guidewire ClaimCenterTM).
- Copy and prepare files for subpoenas, litigation needs, and providing documents to attorneys through secure file share.
- Open, sort and index incoming mail to route to the appropriate claim file or claims individual.
- Assist in medical bill workflow between company and medical bill review vendor.
- Retrieve and address voicemails as needed.
- Assist in the management and routing of incoming e-mail correspondence that comes to a general claims support e-mail address.
- Other projects as determined/assigned by management. Qualifications Education
- Completion of High School diploma or equivalent certification. Qualifications
- Insurance Claim Support experience preferably in workers' compensation and commercial liability insurance preferred
- Ability to learn systems and understand the need for timely follow up and processing
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates organizational skills while working on multiple projects
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and other office machines as needed
- Able to handle all objectives with minimal management involvement
- Ability to adjust to a new situation and changing priorities with minimal impact to daily responsibilities
