Addus HomeCare, Inc., a mission-driven leader in home and community-based care, seeks a Reimbursement Specialist to support accurate and timely payment for home health, hospice, and personal care services. In this role, you will process and submit claims, verify insurance coverage, and ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer rules. You will analyze and resolve denials, manage aging accounts, and collaborate with clinical and branch teams. This position combines detailed billing work with the opportunity to support compassionate, community-based care for seniors and vulnerable individuals. Responsibilities Process and submit reimbursement and billing claims accurately and on time Verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and payer requirements for homecare services Review claims for completeness, coding accuracy, and compliance with regulations Research and resolve denied or rejected claims with payers Communicate with branch staff, clinicians, and payers to clarify documentation and billing needs Monitor aging accounts receivable and follow up to ensure timely payment Maintain detailed records and reports of billing and reimbursement activity Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and company compliance standards Support continuous improvement of reimbursement and billing processes Required Skills Medical billing Healthcare reimbursement Insurance verification
