POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare automotive repair estimates which accurately reflect the reasonable dollar cost of the damage sustained and settle total loss vehicles on behalf of the company. This position is based in the state of Virginia. You must reside in the state of Virginia to be considered for the position.

Plan Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30 pm

PRIMARY DUTIES

Prepare repair and total loss appraisals in accordance with company and industry procedures. Re-inspect vehicles during repairs and authorize supplemental repairs and/or payments as needed. Process physical damage payments following the company standard operation procedure. Settle total loss vehicles, move salvage within time limits established for this procedure. Negotiate auto claim losses with insured, claimant and vendors.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Assist subrogation and SIU with cases that require physical damage knowledge. Maintain high degree of training (learn new auto repair techniques). All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3 years minimum material damage experience

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong MS Office skills and experience working with estimating software Prior field estimated body shop experience Prior automotive experience (repair/mechanical) Proven ability to settle total loss vehicles Strong estimating and negotiation skills Excellent interpersonal skills High level of initiative Professional attitude and appearance Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
