A Life or Health Insurance Sales Agent sells life insurance or health insurance to customers, working on behalf of an insurance company or independent insurance agent or broker. Evaluates the insurance coverage needed by a customer and proposes insurance packages and prices. Life insurance agents may sell policies or annuities, and assist clients or beneficiaries with getting insurance claims processed. Health insurance agents may negotiate rates for employers, explain plans and benefits to employees, and help clients to file or resolve health insurance claims. Life and health insurance sales agents may earn commissions for sales.

Job Description
Preferred Qualifications:
- + •Candidates should reside in Hillsborough or Polk County, Florida, or surrounding areas.
- + •Medicare Advantage sales is strongly preferred.
- + •Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Position Purpose:
- Provide sales coverage and develop best possible market penetration for all products to present and prospective accounts in his/her assigned territory in accordance with company's policies and programs.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma , GED or equivalent required 1+ years marketing, sales or community relations experience including previous managed care experience, preferably in Medicare required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred:
- Specific language skills by some plans may be required
- State Accident and Health Insurance Agent License Upon Hire required:
- Current state driver's license Upon Hire required
Pay Range:
$48,300.00 - $82,400.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
