Job Description
About the Role Aflac is seeking motivated, people-oriented individuals to join our team as First-Year Agents. In this role, you'll help local businesses and individuals understand and enroll in Aflac's supplemental insurance plans. No prior insurance experience is required—Aflac provides comprehensive training, ongoing support, and the tools you need to build a successful career. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy connecting with people, want flexibility in their schedule, and are driven by the opportunity to grow their income through performance. Our main office is located at 7414 Perkins Road Suite 110 Baton Rouge, LA 70808. This job will require you to be at this location for team meetings on Monday and Friday from 8:30am-9:30am. The remainder of the role entails working with business in Hammond, LA and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain client relationships with individuals and small businesses Educate clients on Aflac's supplemental insurance products (accident, cancer, disability, life, and more) Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate coverage options Attend field training, team meetings, and mentorship sessions Manage your own schedule and sales pipeline Provide ongoing support and claims assistance for policyholders Prospect for new business through in-person visits, networking, phone outreach, and community engagement Qualifications No prior insurance or sales experience required Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and goal-oriented Ability to work independently with support from a team Willingness to obtain applicable state insurance license (Aflac provides guidance) A car is required for this position
