Job Description

Job Title:
Commercial Account Manager ; Primary focus is retention of client base by providing superior service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs to the products and services provided by the agency.
Responsibilities:
Maintains designated retention levels for existing book of business by reviewing accounts, making recommendations, explaining the importance of having all lines of insurance with one Agency. Maximizes premium savings and protection through rounding off accounts, client education, recommendations of additional protection coverages, product lines. Reviews client's current policies, recommends protection, quotes recommended limits. Services existing accounts including responding to client requests and inquiries; processing policy changes; binder preparation; billing questions; claims; and coverage inquiries. Explains, selects and places insurance coverage for clients. Explains products and Agency services. Proactively contacts client 90-120 days before renewal. Verifies and updates email and phone numbers in the client detail and contact screen when in contact with client. Maintains accurate records of all client interactions and transactions by recording details of all inquiries, calls, office visits, complaints and actions taken in the agency management system (EPIC). Submits applications. Processes policy cancellations. Resolves client issues in a timely manner and provides appropriate follow-up. Recommend changes, and rewriting of policies when necessary. Educates clients about agency referral program. Asks clients for referrals. Maintains a positive working relationship with the carrier underwriters. Refers unresolved client grievances to Management for further investigation and resolution. Maintains activity list on a daily basis. Attendance will be required at quarterly meetings. Attendance may be required at company functions. Occasional coverage in other office locations Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
Property & Casualty license required. Three years of prior experience in a fast-paced agency environment. Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, coverage and services..
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Familiarity with standard procedures and concepts in the Commercial Lines Insurance field. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Must be a self-starter, able to make decisions, work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits strong client service skills. Solid work ethic, integrity, enthusiasm, and high energy. Willingness to participate in continuing education classes. Must be highly proficient with technology and automation. Working knowledge of Agency Management Software (EPIC), Microsoft Office .
