This position is eligible for commission earnings under the applicable variable compensation plan. Commissions are earned based on achievement of defined sales performance metrics and business objectives. Job Responsibilities Business Development & Territory Growth Consistently exceed sales goals and drive profitable growth throughout Genetics & Women's Health territory. Proactively identify, prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across Eastern North Carolina.Build and expand relationships with:
OB/GYN physicians and practices Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) providers Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI/IVF) specialists Geneticists and genetic counseling programs Regional Reference Laboratories Health Systems and Hospitals Develop and execute annual territory business plans, growth strategies, and quarterly business reviews focused on market expansion and revenue growth. Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline capable of supporting consistent quota attainment and long-term territory growth. Leverage Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities, forecast revenue, and drive disciplined pipeline management. Deliver compelling clinical and business value propositions to physicians, healthcare executives, laboratory stakeholders, and key decision-makers. Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physician influencers, and strategic healthcare partners within Women's Health and Genetics. Conduct in-person sales calls, product launches, customer presentations, educational programs, implementation meetings, and clinical in-services. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities. Utilize customer insights, market intelligence, competitive data, and sales analytics to inform territory strategies and drive growth. Stay current on Women's Health, Genetics, molecular diagnostics, reimbursement trends, and evolving clinical data. Represent Labcorp at local, regional, and national conferences, industry meetings, and trade shows. Effectively manage territory travel, account prioritization, and sales activities to maximize customer engagement and business results. Maintain accurate customer records, account plans, pipeline activity, and forecasting data within Salesforce. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3+ years of outside healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, or related healthcare sales experience. Minimum 2+ years of experience selling directly to physicians, physician practices, hospitals, health systems, or healthcare decision-makers. Demonstrated success prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities within a competitive sales environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 4+ years of Women's Health sales experience with demonstrated success calling on and developing relationships with OB/GYNs, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians, Reproductive Endocrinology/IVF practices, genetic counseling programs, and Women's Health service lines. 1+ years of laboratory diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, genetic testing, pathology, women's health diagnostics, or healthcare services sales experience. 1+ years of consultative sales experience selling complex clinical, diagnostic, or healthcare solutions to physicians, healthcare executives, and key decision-makers. Established relationships with OB/GYN, MFM, IVF, Genetic Counseling, Women's Health systems, and healthcare stakeholders within the Raleigh, Durham, Jacksonville, and Greenville markets. 1+ years of medical device sales experience. 1+ years of business-to-business (B2B) healthcare sales experience involving physician practices, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospitals, laboratories, or specialty healthcare providers. Demonstrated success in a quota-driven sales environment, consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets for three or more consecutive years . Additional Job Standards Must reside in or near Raleigh, Durham, Jacksonville, Greenville, NC, or surrounding communities to effectively support territory business needs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel approximately 30%, throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel for customer meetings, conferences, and sales meetings. Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals, growth objectives, and revenue targets. Strong business development, prospecting, and territory management skills. Proven success influencing multiple stakeholders throughout complex healthcare sales cycles. Strong presentation, negotiation, business development, and closing skills. Demonstrated success by growing market share and winning new business while expanding existing customer relationships. Proven ability to manage and grow a book of business while consistently exceeding sales performance expectations. Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific literature, clinical studies, healthcare economics, and diagnostic data. Strong business acumen and strategic territory management capabilities. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills. Ability to influence clinical, operational, and executive decision-makers at multiple organizational levels. Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a matrixed commercial organization. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
