Role Description The Insurance Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Stanley, ND. The Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate property and casualty coverage options. Daily responsibilities include generating and following up on leads, preparing quotes, explaining policy features, processing applications, and supporting policy changes and renewals. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations, and providing prompt, courteous customer service. The Insurance Agent will collaborate with internal teams, participate in local community outreach, and contribute to sales and retention goals. Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively, explain complex information clearly, and build trust with diverse clients. Sales, negotiation, and customer service abilities to prospect effectively, close business, handle objections, and maintain long-term client relationships. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple client accounts, and maintain accurate documentation. Basic financial and analytical skills to evaluate coverage needs, compare policy options, and ensure appropriate risk protection for clients. Comfort with technology, including agency management systems, email, and standard office software. High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards. Ability to work on-site in Stanley, ND and engage with the local community. Relevant insurance licensing in North Dakota (or eligibility and willingness to obtain required licenses within a specified timeframe). Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a customer-facing role is beneficial but not strictly required. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
