Role Description The Licensed Insurance Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in State College, PA. The agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs, explain coverage options, and recommend suitable policies. Daily responsibilities include preparing quotes, processing applications, handling policy changes, and maintaining accurate client records. The role involves proactive outreach to new leads, timely follow-up on inquiries, and ongoing policy reviews to ensure appropriate coverage. The agent will collaborate with carriers, support agency service standards, and contribute to community-focused business development. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage practices, including policy types, underwriting basics, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated Insurance Sales skills with the ability to prospect, build relationships, and close business ethically. Understanding of Finance concepts relevant to premiums, deductibles, risk assessment, and client budgeting. Excellent Customer Service abilities, including clear communication, active listening, and problem resolution. Current Pennsylvania Insurance License. Comfort using agency management systems, and standard office software. Ability to work on-site, collaborate with team members, and engage with the local community. Prior experience in personal or commercial lines insurance is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
