Job Summary:
The Commercial Account Manager manages a portfolio of commercial insurance clients and serves as the primary point of contact for all their insurance needs. This role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, assessing client risk exposures, and recommending appropriate insurance coverage solutions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, team-oriented, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. 2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships based on trust and service excellence. 3. Conduct regular client meetings to review insurance needs, assess risk exposures, and recommend appropriate coverage solutions. 4. Analyze client insurance programs and identify coverage gaps or deficiencies. 5. Work with carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and secure the best coverage options for clients. 6. Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and insurance recommendations to clients. 7. Process new business applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and efficiently. 8. Respond to client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally. 9. Monitor policy expiration dates and proactively manage the renewal process. 10. Review insurance policies and endorsements for accuracy and completeness. 11. Assist clients with claims reporting and follow-up, as needed. 12. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices. 13. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client needs are met effectively. 14. Maintain accurate client records and documentation in the agency management system.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, insurance, or a related field is preferred. 2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance or related field. 3. Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and markets. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. 5. Strong organizational and time management skills. 6. Proven ability to analyze client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 8. Insurance licenses or certifications (e.g., CISR, CIC) preferred. 9. Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits:

$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
