The Opportunity As a Personal Insurance Producer, you'll play a key role in growing our personal insurance business by bringing on new clients and building lasting relationships. This is a sales role where performance, initiative, and consistent execution directly drive results and long-term success. You'll work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members to ensure a smooth transition from sale to ongoing account management, while helping clients find smart, proactive insurance solutions. You Will:
Identify and engage prospective customers through in-person visits, phone calls, referrals, networking, and community involvement as part of outside sales efforts. Utilize established lead-generation methods and relationship-driven outreach strategies to build a sustainable book of business. Assess prospect eligibility by evaluating client needs, underwriting requirements, and overall profitability. Conduct effective discovery conversations to gather accurate and complete information. Sell personal lines insurance products, including auto, home, umbrella, and related coverages, using a consultative, needs-based sales approach aligned with agency standards. Analyze client needs to develop tailored insurance solutions and ensure accurate quoting. Demonstrate strong technical and product knowledge to clearly explain insurance options and build trust with prospective clients. Quote, present, and recommend insurance solutions in accordance with agency guidelines, carrier requirements, and client objectives. Apply strategic thinking and problem-solving skills based on knowledge of the insurance market, carriers, and product offerings, including key financial and technical considerations. Achieve new business sales goals on a quarterly and annual basis within targeted personal lines segments. Proactively identify, address, and overcome prospect-specific sales challenges and objections.
  • Monitor and manage individual sales pipelines to ensure consistent progression from prospecting through close.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to activity tracking and follow-up to support the achievement of revenue and production goals.
Accurately and consistently document prospect and client information, correspondence, and activities in the agency's account management system in alignment with agency standards. Maintain clear, timely, and detailed notes while handling sensitive information with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Obtain required client signatures and payments in a timely and compliant manner. Effectively use insurance sales technology, including account management systems, comparative raters, carrier quoting platforms, and other tools to deliver customized insurance solutions. Participate in required training programs to continuously improve sales effectiveness and results.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Technologically proficient, with the ability to learn and use new systems with ease
  • Washington State Property & Casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain licensure within 60 days of hire
  • Sales‑oriented professional with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a diverse client base o Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive, professional attitude o Commitment to handling client information with integrity and maintaining strict confidentiality o Foundational understanding of sales principles, including addressing common questions and objections • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently o Self‑motivated, dependable, and accountable, with ownership of responsibilities and sales goals o Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer‑facing role (e.
g., retail, customer service, banking, hospitality, or sales)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of insurance industry experience
  • Experience working with key decision‑makers and familiarity with complex or high‑net‑worth accounts
