Job Description

Remote Life Insurance Sales Agent | 1099
Commission Job Type:
Independent Contractor (1099)
Work Location:
Remote |
Optional San Diego Office Compensation:
100%
Commission-Based Experience:
Sales experience preferred, not required About the Opportunity We're looking for hungry, self-motivated people who want more than another job. This is a remote life insurance sales opportunity for someone who wants to learn a valuable sales skill, control their own schedule, and eventually build something of their own. I want to be completely transparent upfront: This is not an hourly or salaried position. This is a 1099, commission-based opportunity. If you're looking for guaranteed hourly pay and someone telling you exactly what to do every day, this probably isn't the right fit. If you're competitive, self-motivated, comfortable betting on yourself, and like the idea of your income being tied to your performance, keep reading. What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll be working remotely over the phone helping people who are interested in life insurance understand their options and apply for coverage. You'll be working remotely over the phone helping people who are interested in life insurance understand their options and apply for coverage. Day to day, you'll be: Speaking with prospective life insurance clients by phone Learning how to identify a client's needs and recommend appropriate coverage Following up with prospects and managing your pipeline Completing life insurance applications with qualified clients Learning our sales process, scripts, products, and systems Participating in sales training and coaching Managing your own activity, schedule, and production Following applicable insurance and compliance requirements This is a sales position. You need to be comfortable talking to people, hearing "no," following up, learning from mistakes, and getting better. Your First 30 Days We don't expect you to know how to do everything on day one. During your initial 30-day production period, we'll help you get started with: Initial lead flow Sales training Scripts and systems Mentorship and coaching Role-play Technology and operational support Access to experienced life insurance brokers The goal is to give you the foundation you need to learn the business and start producing. But there's an important second half to this. We're not trying to create agents who are permanently dependent on us. After your initial ramp-up, the expectation is that you've developed the skills and confidence to become increasingly independent, including being willing to invest into your own marketing and lead generation. You'll still have access to the team, training, mentorship, and support. But ultimately, you're building your business. Remote — With a Real Team Behind You We have an office in San Diego, California, and agents who are local are welcome to take advantage of the office, team environment, and in-person support. But one of the best parts of this business is that it doesn't have to be tied to an office. Once you're trained and know what you're doing, the work can be performed remotely. Your phone and computer are your office. That freedom also comes with responsibility. Nobody should have to call you every morning to make sure you're working. Who I'm Looking For I'm much more interested in who you are than having the perfect resume. You may be a great fit if you're: Self-motivated Competitive Entrepreneurial Coachable Comfortable working independently Interested in high-performance sales Comfortable with commission-based compensation Looking for more control over your schedule and income Willing to put in the work to develop a real skill Comfortable being responsible for your own results Previous experience in life insurance sales, insurance sales, high-ticket sales, remote sales, commission sales, automotive sales, solar sales, real estate, recruiting, fitness sales, door-to-door sales, or entrepreneurship can translate well. No insurance experience is required. This Probably Isn't For You If...
You need:
Guaranteed hourly or salaried income Someone constantly managing you Guaranteed results An easy work-from-home job Permanent company-funded lead flow Success without investing significant effort into learning the business There's nothing wrong with wanting those things. That's just not what this is. I'd rather be transparent about that now than waste your time. CompensationThis is a 1099 independent contractor, 100% commission-based sales opportunity.
There is no:
Hourly wage Salary Guaranteed income Actual earnings vary and depend on individual sales activity, performance, skill development, production, and other factors. The compensation structure will be explained before you decide whether to move forward. Not Licensed Yet? That's Okay. You do not need an active life insurance license to apply. If we think there's a fit and you decide you want to move forward, our recruiting team will explain the licensing process and provide resources for the appropriate next steps. Depending on your state, the process may include: Pre-Licensing Education → State Exam → State Licensing Requirements → License Approval → Carrier Contracting Licensing requirements, fees, timelines, and approval are determined by the applicable state and other relevant entities. The Bigger Picture We're looking for people who eventually want to be able to say: "I know how to sell. I know how to generate business. I can manage myself. And I don't need somebody standing over my shoulder to make things happen." That's what we're trying to develop. We'll give you training, mentorship, systems, and initial support. What you do with it is ultimately up to you. If that sounds exciting rather than intimidating, I'd like to talk to you. How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed. If your background looks like it could be a fit, someone from our recruiting team will reach out for a quick phone conversation. We'll explain the opportunity, answer your initial questions, and determine whether it makes sense to move forward. No drawn-out interview process. No need to dress this up. We're just looking for the right people.
