Burness Insurance Agency, operating as Farmers Insurance in Montgomery, is seeking a motivated Insurance Sales Representative to join our founding sales team. We take a consultative approach to helping individuals, families, and businesses build personalized insurance portfolios that protect what matters most. Responsibilities Convert agency provided-leads into new clients by selling Homeowners, Auto, Renters, Life Insurance, and other complementary Farmers products. Review each prospective client's needs and present appropriate insurance coverage options by telephone and other approved communication channels. Follow up promptly and consistently with agency-provided leads. Achieve established new-business production goals and objectives. Develop professional relationships that support client retention, referrals, and additional coverage opportunities. Maintain accurate prospect and client information in agency systems. Maintain all applicable insurance licenses in good standing and conduct business with integrity. Requirements Must hold or be willing to obtain Texas General Lines Property & Casualty and General Lines Life & Health insurance licenses. Technologically proficient and comfortable learning and using CRM, communication, quoting, e-signature, and other digital business systems. Associate degree preferred or equivalent sales experience. At least two years of sales experience required; insurance sales experience is not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organized, driven, and self-motivated. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Able to work full-time in our Montgomery office. Background check required as part of the hiring process. Compensation and Benefits $36,000 annual base salary. Commission opportunities based on individual production. Expected total compensation of $60,000-$80,000 for successful performers.
