Job Description

Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent We are a growing independent insurance agency located in Rio Grande City, Texas, seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Licensed Insurance Agent to help manage the day-to-day operations of a small local insurance agency. We are looking for someone with previous insurance experience, particularly in personal auto insurance, who is comfortable working independently and assisting customers from the initial quote through binding and servicing their policy.
Responsibilities include:
Quote and sell personal auto and other Property & Casualty insurance products Quote multiple insurance carriers using a comparative rating system Prepare quotes directly through individual carrier portals when needed Review coverage options and help customers find competitive insurance options Bind policies, complete applications, and collect required documentation Follow up with leads and prospective customers by phone, email, and in person Assist existing customers with payments, renewals, policy changes, coverage questions, and general servicing Answer incoming calls and assist walk-in customers Maintain accurate customer files and policy documentation Manage leads, follow-ups, and daily agency workflow Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed Help grow the agency through new business, referrals, and customer retention Provide friendly and professional customer service
Qualifications:
A current Texas Property & Casualty insurance license is required. Previous insurance agency experience is strongly preferred, especially experience with personal auto insurance, comparative rating systems, and quoting directly through carrier portals. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working independently, good with customers, and able to handle both sales and customer service responsibilities. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Schedule:
This position may be part-time or full-time. We are flexible with scheduling for the right licensed and experienced candidate.
Compensation:
Weekly base pay plus commission from agency fees on policies sold.
Pay:
$390.00 - $520.00 per week
