Job Description

Commercial Insurance - Surety Underwriter - Santa Ana, CA Produce and retain profitable Commercial Surety book of business by underwriting new and renewal business, building and maintaining productive relationships with agents and brokers, and achieving budgeted financial results.
Activities :
Manage submission and underwriting process for agency plant. Determine whether accounts are within underwriting appetite. Assess risk and underwrite routine, small to mid-size renewals and new business items within underwriting authority; may underwrite moderately complex accounts and risks. Input financials and calculate key ratios to support pricing, capacity, terms and conditions on moderately complex accounts. Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and information. Manage flow of new and renewal business. Identify and drive new business opportunities by continually prospecting.
