As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure sound financial practices while supporting the growth and stability of our business. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will drive success in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Evaluate and analyze commercial insurance applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine risk levels and underwriting eligibility. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and industry research to inform underwriting decisions. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring compliance with loan regulations and company policies. Collect and interpret data related to financial performance, industry trends, and market conditions to support accurate underwriting. Prepare detailed financial reports, risk analysis summaries, and underwriting documentation for review by senior management. Collaborate with sales teams, brokers, and clients to facilitate loan origination processes while maintaining high standards of compliance and fraud prevention. Monitor existing portfolios for risk exposure, conducting ongoing financial analysis and forecasting to support portfolio management strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience in Florida. Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages. Experience underwriting small and large/complex risks. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, marketing or equivalent experience. Strong sales & marketing skills. Successful track record of developing productive agency relationships. Excellent communication skills, able to clearly and effectively communicate the company's message during agency/client meetings & presentations. Industry designation(s) preferred.
