Job Description

A growing real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Analyst or Senior Associate with 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate credit, underwriting, or lending. This is a highly analytical, hands-on role focused primarily on underwriting new lending opportunities while also supporting the management of existing investments. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial real estate underwriting experience and be able to step into a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up time. Candidates from banks, debt funds, mortgage REITs, or other real estate investment firms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed underwriting and financial analysis of commercial real estate lending opportunities. Build and maintain cash flow models and investment analyses from scratch. Evaluate property performance, sponsor strength, market fundamentals, and loan structures. Prepare investment memorandums and recommendations for internal approval processes. Support originators throughout the diligence and closing process. Assist with asset management responsibilities across the existing portfolio. Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential credit concerns or underperforming investments.

• Work closely with sponsors and borrowers to understand performance challenges and support corrective action plans.

• Participate in ongoing portfolio reviews and risk assessment discussions. Collaborate with senior leadership on investment strategy and portfolio management initiatives.

Qualifications:

3-6 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate credit, underwriting, lending, or investment management. Strong commercial real estate underwriting and financial modeling experience. Experience analyzing a variety of CRE asset classes. Ability to build models independently and understand key risk and performance drivers. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a growing organization with evolving processes and a degree of ambiguity. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both internal stakeholders and external sponsors. Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Background:

Commercial Real Estate Credit Team experience at a bank, debt fund, private credit fund, mortgage REIT, or real estate investment manager. Experience underwriting bridge, transitional, or structured CRE loans. Exposure to portfolio monitoring, asset management, or special situations/workout scenarios is a plus.

Compensation:

Competitive base salary, annual bonus, and long-term incentive/carry opportunity. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and level.
