Job Description

As the Underwriting Associate on our Equine team, you will provide Risk analysis, examination, and entry level underwriting and underwriting support
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
With the guidance, instruction and oversight of underwriting management provide brokers competent & timely service, maintain accurate policy files and data management. Assess & rate equine risks, utilizing accurate pricing and established underwriting guidelines. Participate and contribute with special projects. Offer administrative support to the underwriting team as needed.
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
Computer and administrative skills - general working knowledge of MS Office Equine Industry knowledge
Experience:
College degree preferred Previous experience in Equine, Livestock, or Farm insurance preferred Hands on Equine/Equine Farm experience Strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Reliable team player Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize projects Successful completion of insurance courses or industry designations Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position. #LI-Hybrid At Core Specialty, you will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
