Job Description

We're looking for an Insurance Underwriter who can assess applications carefully, understand risk, and make sound underwriting decisions while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company guidelines. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Review insurance applications, financial information, and supporting documents. Assess potential risks and evaluate them against established underwriting guidelines. Determine appropriate coverage, terms, conditions, and premiums. Verify information provided by applicants and identify inconsistencies or potential risks. Coordinate with brokers, agents, clients, and internal teams to gather required information. Maintain accurate underwriting records, reports, and documentation. Monitor existing policies and assist with renewals, amendments, and related requests. Stay informed about insurance market trends, regulations, and underwriting practices. Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and numerical ability. Good judgement and risk-assessment skills. Comfortable working with policies, documentation, and data. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines. Previous experience in underwriting, insurance, finance, or a related field is preferred. Working Hours Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Working hours may vary depending on business requirements and will be discussed during the selection process.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
