Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail driven underwriting professional who thrives in a fast paced and client focused environment. In this role, you will play a key part in developing accurate rating and plan design quotes, collaborating with major insurance carriers and clients, and delivering high quality underwriting solutions that directly impact business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset for process improvement, and the ability to manage complex priorities with precision and professionalism. Job Duties Prepare rating and plan design quotes within the agency's underwriting models Ensure proposals are of highest accuracy and delivered on time Collaborate with clients to gather additional information needed for underwriting decisions or to explain underwriting outcomes Coordinate with Sr. Leadership and Account Management for complex situations Provide feedback with opportunities for improvement in our rating models, processes or client interaction Prepare client deliverables (reports, letters, presentations) primarily with MS Excel Respond to client requests for advice, information, explanations, or schedules through phone and e-mail Work with large insurance carriers, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, United HealthCare, Aetna and Cigna, to collect data and other reports Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field One to two years of previous experience in underwriting required Strong attention to detail with meticulous attention and compliance to policies and procedures Ability to work independently within a team-based environment Flexible with a customer first attitude Able to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify process improvement opportunities Skilled in deriving information where it is not immediately evident Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite full-time
