Job Description

Casualty Underwriter
  • E&S General Placement Service
  • New York, NY, United States General Placement Service is on the search for their client, a national insurance carrier and fortune 500 company.
They seek to hire a Excess Casualty Underwriter to work on a hybrid basis in their New York City office and manage their wholesale agency partners in the Northeast territory. This role will focus on underwriting Excess & Surplus Casualty risks.
d What you will do:
  • Underwrite new and renewal business throughout the specified territory
  • Analyze individual risks to determine acceptability of accounts
  • Adhere to established underwriting guidelines
  • Meet with agents to promote and cross-sell company products
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure company growth and success How you qualify:
  • 3+ years of commercial casualty underwriting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and industry designations such as CPCU preferred
  • Ability to travel and come in to the office on a hybrid basis Why you should take this job:
