•This position is hybrid-remote and will require on-site work at our North Austin headquarters.

Your experience includes:
Three years of experience in indirect auto financing lending or a related field are required. Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills required. Knowledge of credit union policies and regulations, procedures, and services, with special detailed knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and guidelines. Advanced knowledge and experience with auto lending practices preferred. Knowledge of the fundamentals of the financial/lending industry Experience in making credit decisions pertaining to loan approvals and denials within a set credit authority. Passion for providing outstanding service and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. Effective time management includes the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks. Ability to train and motivate staff in the area of loans and dealership financing. What you'll do: As an Underwriter, you will assist members with their lending needs, providing information, identifying their requirements, and recommending other Velocity products and services to meet those needs. You will also assist with various steps involved in credit granting, including completing necessary documentation and interacting with external parties to finalize a loan. Why you should choose
