Job Description

A leading national insurance program administrator is seeking a Program Underwriter to join its high-performing underwriting team. With a legacy of excellence in niche insurance markets, this organization offers a hybrid work model that blends remote flexibility with in-office collaboration-just one day per week during the first six months. Key Responsibilities Underwrite and price new and renewal business using advanced risk assessment tools and underwriting workbooks. Achieve premium and revenue goals while maintaining profitability standards across assigned programs. Review endorsements, MVRs, loss runs, inspections, and audits to ensure underwriting integrity. Build strong relationships with carriers, agents, and internal teams to enhance binding opportunities. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Program VP to identify growth opportunities and develop annual business plans. Support training and mentoring of new team members and contribute to continuing education initiatives. Qualifications 2-4 years of P&C Package Underwriting experience with carrier authority (multi-carrier experience preferred). Bachelor's degree required. PA (or domiciled state) Property & Casualty License (must obtain within 12 months). Experience in Program Administration or Management preferred. Strong organizational skills and desk management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with underwriting systems.
