Lead Insurance Underwriter - Contract Surety - Madison, TN Seeking a senior level commercial insurance Underwriter for field operations to manage and develop a large contract surety book of business, including Contract Bonds, Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Payment Bonds, and Maintenance Bonds.

Shall :

Analyze bonds to decide which risks are acceptable. Develop growth and profitability plans, including cross-selling strategies for all surety lines. Conduct meetings with agents and contractors to develop and maintain close relationships. Appoint new agency relationships that have a core focus on surety development. Work with agencies to identify opportunities and write new accounts. Approve bonds and programs within assigned authority. Evaluate and interpret bonds, contracts, credit reports, and loan agreements. Recommend underwriting decision on bonds or accounts exceeding authority. Perform analysis and recording activity in underwriting and administrative tools and systems.
