Job Description

Summary The Service Center Representative II evaluates and classifies insurance applications, accepts or rejects applications, provides risk management advice and information, determines final premiums for insurance accounts, and provides timely and courteous customer service. What You'll Do Service incoming calls and maintaining service levels according to metrics for production, quality and service. Communicate with agents, brokers, policyholders, third party vendors and other jewelry industry companies to obtain further information, present premium quotations or explain company underwriting policies within authority and premium payment. Responsible for making decisions to accept, reject or modify business for accounts to ensure a profitable book of business. Refer files per letter of authority. Recommend adequate limits of insurance, provide loss prevention advice, suggest programs and communicate initiatives, and offer security recommendations/requirements for the financial security of our customers and JM. Determine pricing that is commensurate for the exposure and in line with prescribed predictive modeling strategy. Pricing must comply with state regulations and the current JM pricing philosophy and must be well documented. Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external partners To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree OR equivalent job experience. Minimum of three years of related experience required in the field of commercial property/casualty insurance Knowledge of insurance, jewelry and the jewelry industry preferred. Must have experience with MS Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook Must be proficient in keyboarding/typing, and capable of navigating multiple systems simultaneously Must have Property/Casualty Insurance Agent License from the State of Wisconsin or the ability to obtain it within six (6) months of hire.
