This leadership role is responsible for leading one or more portfolios within the IT global business services team. The Initiative Portfolio Manager (IPM) will work closely with business leadership, acting as a trusted advisor in technology, solutions development, and process improvement. The IPM will create a portfolio roadmap of improvement efforts that deliver significant value and manage the successful execution of approved projects. This role involves articulating portfolio goals, prioritizing projects, and regularly reporting progress and status to both business and leadership teams.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct/Indirect management of 1-10 project managers and/or business system analysts, and indirect responsibility for other IT team members on a matrix basis, managing multi-disciplined and cross-functional project teams.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage one or more portfolios, identifying opportunities for value addition through successful execution, continuous process improvement, and re-engineering. Take ownership and demonstrate leadership of assigned initiatives and projects, ensuring compliance with IT Governance processes. Collaborate with the IT PMO & leadership team to maintain standard Governance, Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Direct Charge methodology. Manage assigned projects and the project management team to achieve successful on-time execution of deliverables. Lead and coach the team to become subject matter experts in specific portfolio processes, fostering closer partnership between IT and Business.Job Requirements:
Job Knowledge/Skills:
Strong project management skills, excellent systems acumen (preferably with Oracle, Agile, Shop Floor, EDW, or Quality systems experience), proven record in business process improvement, and experience in key business functions within an international or complex business environment.Language/Communication Skills:
Confident leader with the ability to motivate teams, advise, and coach. Appreciation for customer focus and excellent communication & report writing abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.Education/Training/Work Experience:
University degree or equivalent in either Information Technology, Finance, or Business. Professional qualification with a strong commercial focus. Minimum 5 + years of experience, preferably in a large, international corporate manufacturing environment. Process improvement and re-engineering experience.Certifications:
University Degree plus internationally recognized professional qualification (BA or Masters in relevant subject) and Project Management certification. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range (annual) : $90,000.00- $115,000.
