Job Description

Partners Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial banking relationships across Maine and New Hampshire. In this role, you will analyze credit risk, underwrite commercial loans, monitor portfolio performance, and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulations. You will partner closely with relationship managers to structure financing solutions, support loan renewals, and address client needs. The ideal candidate brings strong financial analysis skills, commercial credit experience, sound judgment, and a commitment to community-focused, relationship-driven banking. Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial banking relationships Analyze financial statements and assess credit risk for commercial clients Underwrite and structure commercial loans in line with bank policies Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and asset quality Support loan renewals, modifications, and annual reviews Collaborate with relationship managers to deliver client-focused solutions Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements Prepare credit memos, reports, and documentation for loan approvals Identify cross-sell opportunities for bank products and services Contribute to community-focused initiatives and represent the bank locally Required Skills Commercial credit analysis Financial statement analysis Loan underwriting Portfolio risk management Cash flow modeling Knowledge of banking regulations Credit memo preparation Relationship management Loan documentation and compliance Use of financial software and spreadsheets
